WHO WE ARE:

We are Mozart SymPAWthy Animal Sanctuary Inc. Founded by Veronica Hermiston and established on June 9, 2021. With that came our registered charity status. This gave the sanctuary credibility and strength to move forward and actively contribute towards making a difference in the lives of unwanted and abandoned animals.
We have united with other reputable animal welfare organizations to collectively create a stronger voice to help those that need.
With our volunteers and five directors, each bringing to the table their expertise in animal care, animal rescue, finance, purchasing and fundraising, we strive to make a difference in the communities we serve and live. We are all volunteers who are compassionate and proactive. As a Registered Charity, we rely solely on donations to operate the sanctuary and supply veterinary care to all the animals that come through our doors.

WHERE WE ARE:

We are located in the small hamlet of Mozart, Saskatchewan, just south of the Quill Lakes within the RM of Elfros. Our quiet little hamlet is named after the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! The streets are also named after other famous classical composers and we have since carried this tradition on by using music-themed names for any of the animals that enter our sanctuary doors without a name. To date, we have rescued animals as far as 200km radius from Mozart, but the area we protect and provide for is getting larger as the need for our services keeps growing.

WHY WE ARE HERE:

We are here because there is a desperate need that tends to be overlooked. No animal deserves to suffer in pain or illness. No animal should be in an abusive home and suffer in silence. This crisis is unfolding in our communities across Saskatchewan, there is an increase in owners abandoning their pets.
